Shouta™ Launches Shouta Biz™

A new way to reward staff, digitally.

Fintech startup Shouta™ launched its digital nano-gifting® App in December 2020 and almost instantly saw requests coming through from businesses looking to utilise the app as a way of incentivising teams and rewarding great work. The Shouta™ team, led by Co-founders Carly Shamgar and Nick Redwood, immediately got to work on a business-specific product to meet the need and are now launching Shouta Biz™ nationwide.

Shouta Biz™ is a workplace digital gifting platform that allows users to instantly ‘shout’ employees or clients by sending them customisable nano-gifts® – like coffee, wine, or movie tickets. Instead of physical gifts or gift vouchers, the recipient receives a link to a digital, prepaid Shouta™ Mastercard. The reloadable card can be spent on the specific shout the gift giver has chosen, like a coffee, or on any item the recipient desires.

Shouta Biz™ has been in beta for the past two months, with early adopters including GigSuper, CoBild, and Parcelpoint contributing to over 600 shouts already sent through the Shouta Biz™ platform.

Co-founder Carly Shamgar says, “Businesses know that there are many different ways to impact company culture and incentivise team members. Shouta Biz™ is allowing more businesses to tap into these types of rewards through digital nano-gifts®. Through our beta testing, we’ve seen a huge demand for this service and we’re excited to officially launch across Australia.”

Through Shouta Biz™, a company can set up a business account and send shouts to mass employees at one time. For a customised approach, businesses can also personalise messages and add logos and imagery to their shouts. While Shouta Biz™ is looking to introduce a tiered subscription structure, based on additional features, for now all customisation features in Shouta Biz™ are free.

With more businesses being forced into lockdown, Shouta Biz ™ has created a new way for teams to connect digitally.

Cobild, a Melbourne-based construction company, has been utilising the app throughout lockdown by shouting all 90 of their staff coffees and a personalised message using the Shouta Biz™ platform. Brianna Keogh, Head of People and Culture at Cobild, says, "Maintaining morale and rewarding our workers has always been a priority at Cobild, but even more so during this difficult time. We have been fortunate to discover Shouta Biz™ which has both streamlined the process and allowed us to add a more personal touch to our staff gifts."

Perform HR’s General Manager, People Operations, Tahnee McWhirter says, “Culture is more than values and EVP. It’s how our team feels, how connected they are to each other and our brand. We’ve always been a digital-first, remote-working team so we know how to nail the ‘big ticket’ items like flexible work-from-anywhere, balance leave, wellness, psychological safety, and growth.

It is critical to us that we show our team how grateful we are that they choose to spend their work lives with us. Appreciating and valuing their talent, their time and their humanness is where the ‘little things’ become so important. Shouta™ enables anyone in our Team to express gratitude in a really authentic way. It’s so simple, personal and most of all, fun!”

Companies are also extending their ‘shouts’ beyond their employees to their customers and clients, creating a new way to build rapport and show appreciation.

Jessica Abbey, Partnerships Manager at GigSuper says, “Having access to a digital nano-gifting® platform allows us to quickly and easily send thoughtful gifts. We’ve been using Shouta Biz™ to ‘surprise and delight’ our community or to say thank you – it’s a nice little surprise for them to get.”
