Pay ID terms & conditions - topping up your Shouta Mastercard

1. Acceptance of the PayID Terms and Conditions

1.1 You agree to these PayID Terms and Conditions when you choose to top up your Shouta Mastercard using PayID.

1.2 By agreeing to these PayID Terms and Conditions you are also agreeing to be bound by Shouta’s general Terms and Conditions located at https://www.shouta.co/terms

1.3 The name associated with the PayID must correspond to the account holder's name. If there is a mismatch, the payment will be refunded to the original sender, with a $0.65 processing fee deducted from the refund amount.

2. Definitions

2.1 Unless otherwise contained herein, defined terms shall have the meaning as proscribed in Shouta’s general Terms and Conditions located at https://www.shouta.co/terms.

2.2 In these PayID Terms and Conditions:

Banking App means any application provided by your bank which can be downloaded from a software application distributor to access banking services.

New Payments Platform means an open access infrastructure for fast payments in Australia.

PayID means a unique identifier, such as an email address of an account holder, that can be linked to your bank account.

3. What is the PayID service?

3.1 The PayID service is a New Payments Platform (NPP) payment addressing service operated by NPP Australia Limited that enables a payer to make an NPP payment to a payee’s eligible nominated account via a PayID. A PayID is a smart address comprising an alternative identifier instead of a BSB and account number.

4. Participation in PayID

4.1 Topping up your Shouta Mastercard using PayID is optional.

4.2 Make sure you use the Shouta PayID address and reference number provided to ensure your funds do not get lost.

5. Fees

5.1 We charge a processing fee of 1.75% of the transaction amount and $0.65 for all Shouta Mastercard top ups.

5.2 Your Shouta Mastercard has a max balance of AUD $650. Please check your Shouta Mastercard balance before your transfer and make sure your top up doesn’t exceed this limit. If it does, we will need to return your funds minus an additional $0.65 reversal fee.

6. How to top up your Shouta Mastercard

6.1 Follow these steps to top up your Shouta Mastercard:

a) Open your Banking App and choose to pay using PayID/email.

b) Copy and paste the Shouta PayID email then select Shouta’s account name.

c) Enter the top up amount. Your Shouta Mastercard has a max balance of AUD $650. We will need to return your funds less $0.65 reversal fee if this balance is exceeded.

d) Copy and paste the Shouta reference number and confirm the payment to transfer funds instantly*

*In some cases it may take twenty-four (24) hours or more.

6.2 Please note that in each banking app these steps may differ.

7. Refunds

7.1 Once your Shouta Mastercard has been topped up through PayID, you are unable to refund funds off the Shouta Mastercard back to your bank account.

8. Spending your funds

8.1 You can spend your funds anywhere that Mastercard is accepted either online or in-store at an Australian merchant. If spending online, card details can be found inside the Shouta App. If spending in-store, add your Shouta Mastercard to your digital wallet.

8.2 Once the funds are transferred to your Shouta Mastercard, the funds are governed by the Terms and Conditions of the Shouta App located at https://www.shouta.co/terms.  In particular, please refer to clause 7.6 which governs the expiry of the Shouta Mastercard.

9. Changes to these Pay ID terms and conditions

9.1 Shouta may amend these PayID Terms and Conditions from time to time at Shouta’s sole discretion. Any amendments are effective immediately after publication on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform indicates your continued acceptance of the PayID Terms & Conditions as modified.
