Gifting a Stock shout
What stocks am I gifting?
You're not gifting a specific stock. Your recipient will redeem the value of their Stock shout via a digital, prepaid Shouta Mastercard. If they aren't already a Stake customer, they will be able to sign up and fund their Stake account using the card details and then, after doing their own research, select which stocks they would like to invest in by visiting Stake's trading platform via the Stake website or app.
Is there a fee when sending a Stock shout?
There are no fees when you purchase a Stock shout.
How does my recipient receive their Stock shout?
Stock shouts are sent instantly by SMS or email.
Why are Stock shouts not available in Shouta App or Shouta Biz?
For the moment, Stock shouts can only be sent from https://www.shouta.co/send
How does my recipient redeem their Stock shout at Stake?
Your recipient will need to:
1. Claim their shout by registering on Shouta App.
2. Activate their Shouta Mastercard and grab their card details.
3. Head over to Stake, sign up for an account (if they don't already have one) and then fund it using their Shouta Mastercard details.
Can my recipient spend the value of the Stock shout anywhere?
The value of the Stock shout is locked for redemption only on Stake's website or app.
How long are Stock shout being sold at Shouta?
The Stock shout is available for purchase from 12 December 2022 until 31 January 2023 or until sold out. We may also decide to end the promotion of the Stock shout before or after this date without any notice.
Claiming a Stock shout
How long do I have to redeem my Stock shout?
Stock shouts need to be redeemed on Stake's platform within 3 years of the date you claim your Stock shout.
What account do I need to redeem my Stock shout?
You will need a Stake account to redeem your Stock shout. If you don't already have a Stake account, simply sign up for one and then fund your account using the Shouta Mastercard. Share shouts can only be redeemed on registered and verified Stake accounts.
How do I redeem my Stock shout at Stake?
You will need to:
1. Claim your shout by registering on Shouta App.
2. Activate your Shouta Mastercard and grab the card details.
3. Head over to Stake, sign up for an account and then fund it using your Shouta Mastercard details.
Do I need to redeem the whole value of my Stock shout in one go?
The minimum value of stocks you can invest in on Stake is $50. Any balance on your Stock shout below $50 will be forfeited. Therefore we recommend that you simply fund your Stake account with the full value of your Stock shout to use for investing whenever you are ready.
I've received other shouts as well as a Stock shout. How much do I spend at Stake?
When you receive a Stock shout, you will see the value that has been gifted to you. The value of your Stock shout is locked for redemption at Stake only. Any remaining value from other shouts can be spent where ever Mastercard is accepted - including at Stake.
